What is llms.txt?

llms.txt is a plain Markdown file at the root of a website listing its most important pages with one-line descriptions. It exists so AI assistants can find and cite the right content instead of guessing from a crawl. It is not a search ranking signal, and it does not replace a sitemap — it sits alongside one.

More on this in what llms.txt is for.
